Space-based solar power [SBSP] is gaining traction among military leaders and planners at the Pentagon with Lt. Col. Paul E. Damphousse, USMC, Chief of Advanced Concepts of the National Security Space Office, leading the way, [National Public Radio].
Lt. Col. Damphousse will be the second speaker at the 2008 Energy Technology Summit, Monday, April 7 at The University of Virginia's College at Wise. He will discuss an October 2007 report released at the National Press Club promoting and renewing the possibilities of space-based solar power [video].
A would-be NASA astronaut, Damphousse will discuss the futruistic concept of space-based solar power [SBSP]; and, the possibility of coming tests of SBSP on the International Space Station.
